| Growing to Own is a program that is designed to provide you with a quality, well trained family horse. This horse will be worked along with our experienced horses to gain exposure to trail riding challenges, as well as learning to drive on sleighs, wagons, buggies, and farm equipment.
If a specific size or color is part of your vision, and our current stock cannot fill it, we will search for the foal that we feel will fit your vision and with your approval, we will purchase that foal and start it in our Growing to Own program. From that day, that foal will be trained with your vision as the final goal. Some of the activities that horses passing through our farm have gone on to: *Carrying a civil war reinactor in a saber charge during a weekend reenactment event. *Pulling a rare antinque carriage, known as a “Sociable,” in the Fourth of July parade in Telluride, Colorado. *Winning first place in 75 and 100 mile endurance races. *Pulling a two wheeled cart to second place in stiff competition at a regional carriage show. |
